The fancy new flavour is made from toasted coconut gelato replete with shortbread biscuit, marshmallow and a raspberry ripple.
For the past two months, meat master Lennox Hastie from Surry Hills restaurant Firedoor has kept the home fires burning with a new online Fireshop.
The online offering invites Sydneysiders to shop the restaurant menu, with a selection of almost-ready meals, produce boxes and specialty items for sale. That includes a limited-edition tub of ice cream, made in collaboration with gelato giant, Messina.
Previous releases have included a smoked milk gelato with olive oil and sea salt, truffle gelato, as well as a dulce de leche number made with beef fat. This week, however, they’ve topped the lot with their tribute to the nation’s favourite tea time biscuit.
The new Firedoor x Messina Iced VoVo gelato is made from toasted coconut gelato replete with shortbread biscuit, marshmallow and a raspberry ripple.
You can pick up a 500ml tub of Iced VoVo gelato from the Fireshop this week for $19.50, or put in order for the Firedoor Dinner Box, which includes a three-course meal for two for $110, and includes a tub of VoVo.
Orders are now open via the Fireshop and close at 5pm on Wednesday for pick up between 1-3pm on Friday.
