Eat Out

Another one bites the crust: Frankie's Pizza to close its doors for good

Frankie's Pizza.

And they're going out with a bang.

The curtain is set to close on Sydney’s beloved late-night pizza joint and rock ‘n’ roll bar Frankie’s, which will be demolished next year to make way for the new Hunter Street metro station.

The metro station will take over a CBD block, with dozens of venues affected including the Hunter Connection food court.

Thankfully, you still have time to grab a cold beer and a slice before D-Day, with the venue continuing to trade as normal until mid to late next year.

Naturally, the fine folk from the Swillhouse Group are planning to go out with a bang. Frankie’s will be ramping up its live music program, adding more bands to the bill, as well as running special events, collaborations and launches every day until its last.

They’re also launching an unbeatable happy hour. From Monday, May 24, Frankie’s will be slinging $1 slices from 4pm – 6pm every day of the week.
