Maison Balzac has released two candles that smell like Gelato Messina

Get ready to have ice cream on your mind all the time.

Gelato Messina’s Creative Department has teamed up with Maison Balzac to launch two limited-edition candles inspired by its wild honey gelato.

Messina sources its honey from local apiary, Rosebery Honey, and it forms a key ingredient in many of its famous flavours.

The range includes two candles, Miel d’Hiver (winter honey) and Miel d’Ete (summer honey), which take their scents from the different seasonal flowers favoured by bees at that time of year.

Miel d'Hiver.

Miel d’Hiver reveals hints of smoke, thyme, lemon and nutmeg with tonka bean base notes, while Miel d’Ete shows a floral bouquet of jasmine, lily of the valley and hyacinth grounded by musk patchouli.

If you find the scent irresistible, you can also pop into gelato Messina this week and try their new citrus-infused honey gelato with honeycomb and burnt honey caramel, but we can’t promise it won’t taste like candle.

Messina’s Miel d’Hiver and Miel d’Ete candles are priced at $29 for a 55g mini or $69 for a 300g candle from Maison Balzac and select Gelato Messina stores, including: Rosebery, Darlinghurst, Surry Hills, Bondi, Tramsheds, Fitzroy, South Brisbane and Fortitude Valley from 7th July, until stock lasts.
