It's a little bit fancy.

Gelato Messina has gone full Inner West with the announcement of a late-night snack bar where you can drink natty wines by the glass, eat prawn toast with sriracha, and groove to lo-fi tunes. Snackbar at Messina Creative will take over the existing gelato giant’s “bar” which hosts the six-course Messina Creative weekly degustation.

The new bar is designed for anyone who wants to experience the gelato-centric fine dining degustation without having to commit to the full evening. Instead, Snackbar at Messina Creative will function as a casual, walk-ins-only venue with bites like parmesan tarts with macadamia and lemon myrtle; pork sausage with spiced ketchup and mustard; lightly pickled vegetables with salted yoghurt gelato dip; and spiced dark chocolate gelato with olive oil and sea salt.

The bar will be open every Sunday from 4pm – late, with updates and specials posted on the Messina Instagram regularly.

The first Snackbar at Messina Creative will launch on September 22 and is a first-in-best-dressed so make sure you head in early.
