Eat Out

Live out your Greek island dreams at this pop-up dinner

Mavi.

Opa!

Greece is just a share plate away thanks to Mazi, a one-night-only pop-up dinner in Sydney.

Meaning ‘together’, the Mazi experience is all about enjoying good food, good drinks and good company.

Dreamt up by delicious.’ own assistant food editor Helena Moursellas and cafe-connoisseur Benjamin Terkalas over home-cooked spanakopita, the pop-up celebrates the warmth and generosity of Greek cooking over more than 10 dishes for one night only at St Kai, Mortdale.

Sashimi.

Mikró (small) plates span from land to sea, featuring keftedes, pita, kingfish, prawns and more. The centrepiece for the megálo (big) plates is a 4-hour slow-cooked lamb shoulder, with oregano-spiked potatoes and salad alongside. And for glykós (dessert), there’s a burnt honey and orange galaktoboureko, plus an all-Greek wine and cocktail list to top it off.

Mazi opens on Saturday 13 March in Mortdale, Sydney. Tickets start at $95 and are strictly limited. For more information, visit mazipopup.com.
