On any other Monday, we would not be looking at KFC’s new Popcorn Chicken Slab and seriously thinking about eating one, maybe two of them, but it’s the end of a long weekend so here we are.

The new cult item, known as The Slab, is made from six soft dinner rolls filled with popcorn chicken, topped with tasty cheese and BBQ sauce. There’s no question that the person who created it did so after a three-day bender.   

Chief Marketing Officer at KFC Australia, Kristi Woolrych said: “We’re thrilled to announce The Slab is now available on KFC menus across the country. In 2019 we trialled The Slab in our Ballarat restaurants, and when our fans heard about it, there were pleas to make it available across the country.  We listened to our fans, and it’s now available across all our restaurants for everyone to tuck into and enjoy! Made with our iconic popcorn chicken and soft bread rolls, we’ve no doubt our fans will go crazy for this new creation. But get in quick because it’s not going to be around forever.”

The Slab is available from today until Monday, November 2 from KFC restaurants nationwide for $10.95.
