Trade up the strawberry cream for strawberry gum ganache and the Turkish delight for Davidson plum jelly.
Koko Black has just released a new chocolate collection made using native fruits, nuts, seeds and botanicals. Created in associated with Indigenous food company, Something Wild, The Australian Native Collection swaps out the strawberry cream for strawberry gum ganache and the Turkish Delight for Davidson plum jelly. There’s even macadamia with spotted gum honey crumble for the fruit and nut fans.
Remco Brigou, Head Chocolatier at Koko Black said: “Australia’s rugged landscapes and vast plains produce some of the rarest and most delicate ingredients on the planet, flavours only nature could have invented. We believe these ingredients should be celebrated, explored and experienced, but most of all respected.”
The four new blocks include:
Macadamia and Spotted Gum honey crumble
White chocolate studded with oats, spotted gum honey and macadamias, and lightly seasoned with pink lake salt.
Whipstick Wattle and roasted coconut
Earthy, nutty wattleseed paired with Arriba 39% was milk chocolate.
Davidson Plum
A 70% single origin dark chocolate dusted with Davidson Plum.
Lemon Myrtle
Venezuelan 72% dark chocolate topped with blitzed lemon myrtle powder.

Each 80g block is priced at $13.50 each or $49 for a four-block bookcase. If you would rather take your pick from an assorted box, there are also six individual pralines to choose from. Flavours include lemon myrtle and candied cucumber; salted macadamia caramel; strawberry gum ganache and passionfruit jelly; finger lime, green ant and burnt butter cream; aniseed myrtle and Davidson plum jelly. The pralines are priced at $3 each or go a nine-piece gift box for $29.00 and 16-piece box for $49.00
