Tasmania’s Lark Distillery is coming to the rescue this Father’s Day with a specially-curated gift set of whisky and steak.

No nuts, olive, pretzels or cheap fillers, the simple set includes a bottle of Lark’s new Symphony No. 1 blended malt whiskey and a premium Cape Grim scotch steak, along with whisky barrel wood chips and highland peat so you can smoke it at home.

Symphony No. 1 represents the distillery’s first-ever blended malt whisky. The new tipple is made from complementary casks, including American oak, sherry and port, at an average age of six years old.  The unique combination reveals rare tropical flavours, with notes of fresh mango, toasted pineapple, orange, vanilla and tangerines, followed by peach, apricot, apples and toffee on the palate.

You won’t find a better food pairing than the accompanying grass-fed Tasmanian Cape Grim scotch steak, that comes vac-packed, refrigerated and ready to throw on the grill.

And to give Dad a hand with the cooking – not that he needs it or anything – Bill Lark will be hosting a digital masterclass at 6:30pm on September 13 to demonstrate how to cook the perfect steak using peat and wood chips.
