Christmas has come early as croissanterie Lune secretly opens its second Sydney store in a week.
After a gangbusters opening weekend at Lune’s first permanent Sydney store in Rosebery, the cheeky devils have gone and opened a second CBD store this morning.
In an absolutely baller ‘build it and they will come’ move, the Lune team didn’t worry about things like marketing, press releases, or advertising for the Martin Place bakery. They simply led with a cute Instagram reel and the confidence that office workers have been keeping a very close eye on the development of the bakery on their way to work for months.

Excited Sydneysiders were quick to comment on the post, ‘Does Lune rest!?’ and the deeply relatable ‘Fast walking to work’.
Founded by ex-aerospace engineer Kate Reid, Lune is legendary for its precisely crafted pastries which blend science, art and a lot of butter, earning Lune international acclaim when The New York Times called it out as one of the best in the world. From the perfect golden flake to the rich buttery centre, Lune croissants are in a league of their own, and at long last, Sydney can get a piece or two of the action.
Lune Martin Place, shop N80, Metro Martin Place, 1 Elizabeth St, Sydney, is open now. For more details, head to the Lune website.
