The Lune croissanterie team to open Butler Wine Bar in Brisbane

The eager early birds of Brisbane have been delighting in – and patiently queuing up for – the buttery pastry goods of Lune croissanterie’s Kate Reid since the Sunshine State venue’s highly awaited opening earlier this year. Now, the city’s night owls are being catered to with the team’s latest venture: a relaxed neighbourhood wine bar.

Chic new Butler Wine Bar will directly neighbour the popular patisserie at the end of thriving Fish Lane in South Brisbane and is set to launch in November 2021 – opening just months after Lune’s foray into Brisbane’s food scene.

Siblings Kate Reid and Cameron Reid, alongside restaurateur Nathan Toleman, have re-joined forces to create their first bar, which will focus on Australian wines, produce-driven, seasonal dishes, and a sense of community.

Though the team is yet to reveal its menu for Butler Wine Bar, we can only hope there’ll be savoury pastries from the kitchen next door making guest appearances.

The petite thirty-seater venue has been envisaged by Hogg & Lamb, the designers behind Lune Brisbane, Bar Alto and the soon-to-open Sound Garden bar in Fortitude Valley.

Keep your eyes peeled for more news in preparation for the Manning Street venue’s opening.
