Cheese tea for everyone.

Gotcha Fresh Tea, a premium bubble tea chain, has just opened its first two stores in Sydney, with more to follow in Melbourne and Brisbane later this year.

Pearl milk tea will just be one of the many pastel beverages on offer, with the menu revealing an eye-popping range of flavours, from fresh fruit brews to taro milks.

Those wanting to try one of this year’s biggest foodie trend will be able to pick up a cheese tea – a Chinese drink which has proved immensely popular in Asia as well as the US and UK.

The drink is made from either green or black tea topped with a foamy cap of tangy cream cheese. When you’re ready to take it to the next level, you can also try Gotcha’s durian version.

If you’re looking for something to settle your stomach or possibly smooth your skin, you can also self-prescribe one of their medicinal drinks, which include a bamboo charcoal tea or an aloe vera tea with collagen.

While some bubble tea brands rely on powders and syrups, Gotcha’s point of difference is its natural tea leaves, which are sourced from their own tea plantation in Taiwan and are brewed fresh for each individual order.

The two new Sydney stores are located in Chinatown and World Square, with a third to launch in Ultimo this August. Melbourne currently has seven Gotcha Fresh Tea stores with an eighth store set to land in Melbourne Central. Brisbane will also get its first store in July.
