Eat Out

This Sydney bakery is slinging croissant pies this Father's Day and you know what to do

Roller's Bakehouse

And that's why you're the favourite.

The Father’s Day plan has changed. Rollers Bakehouse in Manly has just announced a special menu of flaky croissant pies and creative cruffins that sure beat your plans of toast and tea in bed.

While a meat pie is often enough to please the Old Man, imagine his face when you whip out a 7-hour slow-cooked short rib pie, topped with a flaky croissant pastry lid. The bakery will also be making cauliflower cheese croissants for the vego dads, stuffed with a creamy bechamel and finished with a raisin gel and cheese crisp.

If Dad is more of a sweet tooth, Rollers will also be serving up sticky date scrolls filled with butterscotch frangipane, date purée and brandy pecan caramel, and glazed in a sticky butterscotch sauce. A limited-edition cookies and cream cruffin will also be available, filled with vanilla mascarpone cream and housemade Oreo cookies.

With so many special items, it’s quite hard to know exactly which one Dad would prefer. Might be easier if you taste them all first.

Rollers Bakehouse is located at 19 Rialto Lane, Manly Beach. The special Father’s Day menu items will be available Saturday, September 5 from 7am – 3pm to Sunday, September 6 from 7:30am – 2pm. For more details, head to rollersbakehouse.com.
