Network 10 has cooked up a new idea for MasterChef season 12. Alongside three new faces on the judging panel will be 24 familiar ones, and that’s because all contestants for the new season will be sourced from previous episodes of the show.

This year’s line-up includes some pretty big fish, including season one runner up, Poh Ling Yeow, who has released two cooking shows and three cookbooks since she incorrectly guessed the ingredients in minestrone.

Alongside her will be surfer chef and delicious. contributor Hayden Quinn, who has written two cookbooks and has his own show, as well as dessert whiz-kid Reynold Poernomo, who now owns KOI Dessert Bar & Dining in Sydney.

Three new judges will also take to the stage following the highly publicised departure of Matt, George and Gazza last year. The new hosts include Jock Zonfrillo from Restaurant Orana in Adelaide, past MasterChef winner and Three Blue Ducks co-owner Andy Allen, and food writer and TV presenter, Melissa Leong.
