Not only is it free, but you can wear your pyjamas if you want to.
Matt Moran is inviting Australia into his home with the launch of his online cooking classes, hosted live from his kitchen every Friday evening.
The classes will be hosted in Matt’s very own kitchen, using bespoke produce boxes from Harris Farm with everything you need to create a Moran-tier feast. Not your average cook along, the sessions will be intimate and viewers are encouraged to ask Matt questions and relax at the end of the busy work week.
Each box contains fresh local produce with enough ingredients to re-create two hearty menus for four, featuring one main and two sides. Both menus can be cooked on Friday nights alongside Moran, which is perfect for those after the step-by-step assistance, or those after a quieter night in can choose to cook one option and leave the other dish for a meal over the weekend – Sunday lunch anyone
“[The past few months] reminded me that there’s nothing like coming together over a meal with our family and friends, and made me want to encourage all Australians to find joy in cooking,” says Moran. “Whether you’re cooking with the kids or having some mates round for dinner, Cooking at Home with Matt Moran is designed to help make those meals easier so you can spend less time stressing in the kitchen and more time relaxing with your friends and family.”

The meals will change each week to make the most of the best produce available as the seasons change. The first week kicks off with the perfect menu to farewell autumn; barbecued flank steak with chilli and coriander relish, roasted baby corn, dill and pine nuts and burrata with beanettes and mint, as well as chicken schnitzel with a butter lettuce, goat’s cheese, pea and preserved lemon salad and a tomato salad with pickled onion and a basil dressing. And there’s plenty more where that came from.
While some might be worried about trying to keep up with the chef, this won’t be at all like a MasterChef pressure test – the recipes are simple enough for cooks with all levels of experience and confidence. It’s more like your very own masterclass, and after all, who doesn’t love to see a chef in their home kitchen?
Purchase your produce box (with delivery and live stream access included) for $200 via Harris Farm – or source your own ingredients and join the masterclass for just $20 – and get ready to tune in live at 6pm!
