Winter is the time for hot desserts and McDonald’s knows it. The fast-food giant has just launched a challenge to our collective weakness for all things hot and crispy with a new banana and caramel pie.

Priced at just $1.50, the hot pocket is made the same as their apple pie, only with a banana custard and toffee-caramel filling.

It’s just one of several new desserts you’ll find at Maccas these days, including doughnut balls with fudge sauce and a banana and caramel pie McFlurry.

The banana and caramel pie is available from all McDonald’s outlets nationwide.
