Did someone wish for a birthday cake McFlurry? McDonald’s is set to release an epic new dessert in honour of its 50th birthday in Australia.

The new celebratory sweet treat is inspired by a combination of birthday cake and fairy bread, and it’s exactly what we wanted, how did you know?

The dessert combines Maccas soft serve with chunks of custard pie, topped with caramel sauce and hundreds and thousands.

“Our new McFlurry flavour was inspired by iconic Aussie birthday party favourites including birthday cake and fairy bread,”  said McDonald’s Marketing Manager, Amanda Nakad.

“We will also be reintroducing a much-loved and highly requested crowd favourite, the Custard Pie, giving Aussies even more reason to celebrate our 50-year milestone.”

The limited-edition desserts will be available to order from Uber Eats from June 30 and in-store from July 7.
