Stop scrolling: Messina is now slinging a bake-at-home lamington snail

Instead of raisins, it's made from brioche stuffed with vanilla custard, raspberry jam and chocolate caramel sauce (don't worry, it's still a breakfast).

Messina has upped its bake-at-home game with a new lamington snail. No ordinary escargot, the giant bakery treat is made from brioche stuffed with vanilla custard, choc chips, raspberry jam and chocolate caramel, sprinkled with desiccated coconut.

If you want to push the boundaries of what breakfast actually is, you can also add on a scoop of ice cream to the top, with Messina offering well-priced snail and gelato bundles.

Each snail technically feeds four, but don’t let this discourage you from tackling it solo.

Not so fast, my friends. To get your hands on the lamington snail, you’ll need to pre-order on Monday, August 17 from 10am for pick-up Friday, August 21 – Sunday, August 23 from your chosen Gelato Messina store. Each snail is priced at $20 or can be bundled with a 500g tub of gelato for $28.
