You'll be shattered if you miss out.
A new kind of convenience store will pop up at Queen Victoria Market this Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, just don’t expect the usual Chiko Rolls and Twisties.
Held in association with 7-Eleven, The Convenient Store will offer gourmet grab-and-go treats made by the city’s best purveyors.
Replacing the packaged ham and cheese sandwiches, festival-goers will find Supernormal’s katsu sando, alongside Falco Bakery pop-tarts, a Beatrix made wagon wheel, Lune Croissanterie cheese and Vegemite scrolls, and last but not least, a Violent Rumble gelato bar by Messina.
The not-so-subtle take on the Violet Crumble will be made from Melbourne City Rooftop Honey gelato with housemade honeycomb in a milk chocolate shell.
And while you’re there, throw in a jar of Messina’s dulce de leche and choc hazelnut spread, you know, in case of emergency.
The Convenience Store is trading at Queen Victoria Market, Melbourne from Friday 20 – Sunday 29 March, 2020 8am – 6pm.
