Moon Dog Brewing has chosen an unusual way to celebrate the launch of its new beer, Jean-Strawb van Damme.

The Melbourne-based brewery is giving away free 4-packs of the new brew to anyone who cuts themselves an iso-mullet, as well as a year’s supply to the most regal mullet out there.

For those who don’t remember Billie Ray Cyrus, a mullet is an 80’s-inspired hairstyle that’s short at the front and sides and long at the back. Those who study mullets will know that there are variations, including the curly mullet, the slicked back mullet, the mullét, as well as the lady version, the femullet.

To enter, simply upload a before and after photo or video evidence of your new mullet on Instagram and tag @moondogbrewing and @beefbarbers as well as anyone else you would like to show off your new ‘do to.

As for the beer, Jean-Strawb van Damme is said to taste short and tart up front, and long and strawberry-y at the back. It’s part of a range of fruited sour beers by Moon Dog Brewery called the Magnificent Mullet Series.
