Sweet! The Natural Confectionery Co has launched vegan-friendly lollies

So you don't have to be jelly anymore.

While you may not know it, vegans are acutely aware that most commercially available lollies contain gelatin, a common thickener which is made from boiled skin, tendons, bones and ligaments (yummy!)

This means, along with meat, dairy, eggs and honey, vegans also can’t eat lollies, or if they do, they have to have peppermints or barley sugars, and c’mon, that’s just not fair.

To make life a bit easier for our lolly-loving vegan friends, The Natural Confectionery Co. has just released new Vegan Fruity Flavoured Jellies, made with no artificial colours or flavours and no gelatine.

Launching in supermarket mid-August, the new cruelty-free confectionery consists of apple, blackcurrant, peach, pineapple and raspberry flavoured jellies in funt fruity shapes.

Lauren Fildes, the marketing director for The Natural Confectionery Co. Australia said: “We couldn’t ignore the requests from Aussies asking for a Vegan-friendly option. We believe all lolly lovers deserve to enjoy The Natural Confectionery Co.’s delicious jellies, so we’re proud to be able to offer Australians a sensational new product that doesn’t compromise on taste.”

Vegan Fruity Flavoured Jellies will be available in Coles and independent retailers from mid-August and Woolworths mid-September for $4 per 200g pack.
