In need of a night out – and preferably one that involves a little (or a lot) of tequila? The folks from Paddington gem Tequila Mockingbird are set to open a pop-up Latin American restaurant and tequila bar in the Sydney CBD.

Tequila on York will take over a heritage site on York Street just stumbling distance from another great tequileria – Cantina OK!

But don’t just expect to walk in. To gain access to the secret venue, guests will need to call the phone number provided at the time of booking to be personally escorted to the venue.

Heading up the kitchen will be Tequila Mockingbird executive chef John Frid, who has put together a four-course set menu of Latin American dishes like hiramasa kingfish ceviche, spinach queso tamales and wagyu rump rap with bush tomato salsa, for a price of $89 per person.

Tequila on York will open from Wednesday, September 2 – Friday, October 9, 2020.
