Fans of the pink luncheon log can now make their own artisan mortadella at home.
Prep the white bread, Nomad in Sydney has just launched a make-your-own mortadella kit that includes everything you need to create your own artisan sausage at home.
The chefs from Nomad have partnered with Vic’s Meats to create their new mortadella pack, which includes premium pork mince, pork back fat, spices, casing, and more – plus Nomad pickles and za’atar to eat your finished product with.
To make sure you don’t make a mess of your mortadella, each pack comes with a recipe card and instructional video, plus your choice of beer or wine to sip while making your perfect pink log.

Nomad head chef Jacqui Challinor said: “From the very first day Nomad opened, our house-made charcuterie has been a point of pride for the team. This process brings together our passion for the very best local produce with our commitment to minimal wastage and sustainability. Over the years, we have learned and developed new techniques to make the process unique. Passing on this knowledge to new kitchen staff has become part of our tradition.”
