Eat Out

Otto has launched an at-home dining menu so you can give nonna the night off

Otto.

Coming to a dining table near you.

Now that Sydney has developed a taste for restaurant-quality food at home, it can be hard to go back to getting all dressed up and leaving the house again.

If you’ve become addicted to the simplicity and ease of at-home dining, get out the good cutlery because Otto in Woolloomooloo has just launched its first-ever at-home menu.

Sure, you may not get the same waterfront views from your dining room table, but what you will get is a chef-prepared meal where the chef is not you.

Inspired by Otto’s most popular plates, the new Otto a Casa features classic Italian long lunch fare from braised lamb shoulder to market-fresh fish baked with cherry tomatoes, chilli, garlic and white wine in paper, with plenty of fresh salads on the side.

If you’re more of a pasta person, Otto is also packaging up their celebrated strands for those manic mid-week meals.  There’s strozzapreti, orecchiette and gnocchi with housemade sauces to match. Go classic with the Napolitana or mix things up with the cavolo nero and pistachio pesto.

Some dishes are “ready to cook”, others are “ready to heat”, and all are easy to eat.

OTTO.Alongside the prepared meals, you’ll also find pantry items that are just as well suited to the spring picnic hamper. There’s house-baked focaccia, marinated olives, Italian cheeses and cured meats, or try the lot in the antipasto pack. If you want to go large, you can also throw in a whole cake. Signature Otto desserts such as the lemon tart, tiramisu and ricotta torta are now available by the sneaky slice or take the whole thing home with you to celebrate your good choices.

Graham Ackling, General Manager of OTTO Sydney said: “We are delighted to be launching OTTO a Casa, a selection of OTTO favourites, simple Italian dishes and pantry staples to have at home. Whether you’re an OTTO regular or just want to be transported to the Italian riviera, OTTO a Casa provides all the key ingredients for afternoon aperitivo, a simple weeknight dinner or a long lunch that would make Nonna proud.”

Otto a Casa launches Friday, October 9. Orders are available for pick up at the restaurant or for curbside delivery at the end of Woolloomooloo wharf. To view the selection or make an order, head to: ottoristorante.com.au/acasa.
