Briny, salty, sweet – Australia produces some of the best oysters out. And on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November, the humble oyster gets its very own dining event.

Overlooking Sydney Harbour in the Royal Botanic Gardens, Oyster Gardens is Sydney’s first-ever oyster dining event, focussed on celebrating the talents, tastes and passions of oyster farmers from the best coastal regions of New South Wales.

Along with an in-depth tasting session, the luxe event pairs some of the country’s best oysters with matched wines from regional wine producers.

Guests will enjoy two dozen oysters, a menu of local seafood, matched wines, live music and lawn games, and a private waiter, too.

“Oyster Gardens is the perfect event for seafood lovers and culinary explorers who want to understand more about our salty treasures of the sea,” says Sophie Griffiths, co-founder of KobeCo events and Oyster Gardens.

“The event celebrates our regional producers and each area’s unique hallmark, by pairing the produce with some of the finest regional wine producers. The event will create an immersive dining experience, transporting people to where the garden meets the sea.”
