Game, set, Shake Shack.

The Australia Open has revealed its 2026 food program – and the headliner is ace. Cult US burger chain Shake Shack has announced it’s making its Australian debut at Melbourne Park this summer, with an all-star food line-up revealed across the grounds.

If, like us, you’re already planning where to eat at the Australian Open, here are some of the highlights of the AO2026 draw:

Shake Shack’s cult-fave shakes.

1. Shake Shack

Taking Top Court position, as well as prime position in John Cain Arena, Shake Shack will be serving up Australian Angus beef burgers in an Australian-first. Growing out of a hot-dog cart in Madison Square Park, it’s worth buying a ground pass simply to be one of the first and only Australians to experience a ShackBurger® on home shores.

We’re expecting to the see the iconic Shack Burger, the vegetarian Shroom Burger, and the Shack Stack (a combination of the two), as well as crinkle cut and cheese fries. To wash it all down, Shake Shack will be offering a classic lemonade, a seasonal Mango Passionade, plus some yet-to-be-announced custom shakes.

2. Hectors Deli

Also making its AO debut is a more homegrown phenom. Hector’s Deli – known for as being the best thing since, well, sliced bread on Melbourne’s ultra-competitive sandwich scene – will be bringing its signature sandwiches and shakes to Garden Square.

3. Vic’s Meat

The Australian Open is taking the classic snag in bread to Grand Slam status with ‘The Chef’s Butcher’ Vic’s Meat, which is planning a cup-worthy take on the backyard barbecue staple in Garden Square.

4. Entrecôte

Brining a little je ne sais quoi to Garden Square, the Prahran favourite will be serving up a French mitraillette baguette and Entrecôte cheeseburger and frites.

5. Stalactites x Taverna

Celebrating the Greek dining wave breaking across Melbourne, legendary CBD Greek diner Stalactites is teaming up with relative newcomer Taverna, with the duo making their AO debut on Grand Slam Oval with an elevated-meets-nostalgic Hellenic mash-up.

6. Ho Jiak

Soon after opening its three-story temple to Malaysian cuisine in the CBD, Ho Jiak will make its debut on Grand Slam Oval, with Nyonya comfort food to fuel a long day of tennis.

7. JollyGood

Bringing some Melbourne-born burger game to Grand Slam Oval, Collingwood’s JollyGood is offering signature serves such as its fried chicken.

8. Season

Good Days Hot Bread’s spin-off Season Chargrilled Chicken Service (SCCS) – or simply, Season – is bringing its cult Vietnamese fried chicken to Grand Slam Oval.

9. Suupaa

This Richmond cafe’s take on a Japanese convenience store is landing on the Western Courts for its AO debut this January, with Suupaa keeping the crowds plied with sandos, fried chicken and noods.

10. Layla

Making its AO debut in Garden Square, Shane Delia’s Layla will plate up summery takes on classic Middle Eastern dishes.

11. AO Reserve’s fine-dining field

The AO Reserve continues to serve up some of the biggest names in Australian food to select tennis fans. Big names include Peter Gilmore, with a taste of his iconic Sydney restaurant twins Quay and Bennelong; Simon Rogan of the UK’s acclaimed L’Enclume and Umbel restaurants; and big-name Brisbane steak house SK Steak and Oyster. Bringing some homegrown cheer, top Melbourne bar Caretaker’s Cottage will be running the bar.

12. Returning classics

Favourites returning to Melbourne Park’s public grounds in 2026 include slinger of salads Fishbowl; D.O.C, with a slice of Italian street food; and family friendly bakers Wonder Pies.
