A new takeaway menu takes flight at a Five Ways favourite.

Taco Tuesdays are set to live on at Latin American restaurant and bar Tequila Mockingbird in Five Ways, Paddington.
In light of recent events, the restaurant has made the decision to transform into a takeaway business.
Fegent and his team set to work on creating a new menu that would translate to the dinner table at home. “The whole idea was simplifying things, focusing on the product itself and what people want when they’re at home.”
Locals can now swoop by for taco boxes filled with barbecue meats, tortillas, pickled jalapeños and herbs, as well as Cubano sandwiches and ceviche. They also have 10 seats available for dine-in each night.
The tequila-influenced drinks list is also available for takeaway. “The big point of difference we have is cocktails,” says Fegent. “One great thing is we shake to order, so nothing is pre-batched.” The venue has sold more than 7,000 cocktails since the lockdown set in. “I’m pretty certain that by the end of this year we’re going to have a Tequila Mockingbird to go running permanently.”
