The fully stocked mezzanine bar is the cherry on top.
Exciting news for Sydney’s Inner West as Sefton’s neon-lit food market Spicetown debuts its new sister venue at the old Leichhardt Hotel on Norton Street.
The once-dormant pub has undergone renovations for months ahead of its October opening, now the night market has launched in all its neon glory. Decor oscillates from Bollywood movie posters to Baroque opulence and hawker-style stools and tables, all in a fun-house of mirrors and technicolour lights.

As well as a whole market of food vendors on ground level, Spicetown Leichhardt has Cosmos, a sanctuary bar on level 1 where you can grab a beer or a glass of wine between bites.
Spicetown is known for its eclectic night markets that celebrate the tapestry of Sefton’s global flavours and local talent. From Afghani and Turkish street food to Sudanese dishes, Lebanese falafel wraps, and Japanese sweet potato desserts, the market offers a huge mix of cuisines. The new Leichhardt location brings the same dynamic, delicious experience to the Inner West as the suburb slowly regains its status as a food hub.

Spicetown’s arrival is a key part of this initiative. With the area’s history of popular dining spots, Spicetown breathes new life into the Leichhardt Hotel, an expansive, multi-level lot that has sat dormant for years.
