Go on, do your bit.
Aussies love their koalas, and if we have to eat a million ice blocks to save them, well, that’s what we’re going to do.
Streets has partnered with Wires Wildlife Rescue to launch a new Koala Choc Caramel Paddle Pop in support of Australia’s koala populations.
Unfortunately, things are not looking too good for our beloved furry friends. Local koala populations have experienced a dramatic decline over the last 5-10 years, with around 30,000 believed to have perished in the recent bushfires. Donations are crucial for reestablishing and rehabilitating this threatened species, which is considered vulnerable to extinction.
Paddle Pop has made a two-year commitment to support a number of Wires’ koala conservation projects, including the Koala Rehabilitation Facilities, Koala Health Hub and the Water Drinkers Project.

Annie Lucchitti, Paddle Pop Brand Manager said: “We’re a local brand, who want to ensure we’re doing our part for our local heroes.”
“This is why we’re proud to partner with an organisation who actively strives to support our Aussie wildlife like Wires do. We wanted to create our new Koala Paddle Pop to help raise awareness of koala conservation among Aussie families – and what better way to support these cuddly creatures than with an ice cream in your hand!”
If you’re more into koalas than Paddle Pops, you can also donate directly to Wires Wildlife Rescue here.
Koala Choc Caramel Paddle Pops will be available from September 7, 2020 from convenience stores, petrol stations and select supermarkets nationwide.
