Eggcellent news: Talisker is launching a whisky egg this Easter

For those who love whisky and chocolate, so everyone.

While eggs may be in short supply on the supermarket shelves, thankfully, Easter eggs are still in abundance. If you’re looking for something a bit different this year, single malt whisky distillery Talisker has teamed up with COCO chocolatiers to launch its first-ever Easter egg.

The Talisker Easter Egg is made from premium South American cocoa, infused with Talisker whiskey and Isle of Skye sea salt. Crack it open and you’ll find smoky Talisker whiskey sea salt caramels inside.

Talisker brand ambassador Jason Clark said: “The flavour profile of Talisker Whisky works exceptionally well with rich and sweet flavours as the salt and pepper spice contrast which creates balance, which is why the pairing of Talisker with COCO Chocolatier’s premium dark chocolate is a perfect match.

“The use of the sea salt from the Isle of Skye in both the egg itself and the sea salted caramels connects them with Talisker’s homeland, and it’s deliciously distinct made by the sea character.”

The COCO x Talisker Easter Egg is priced at around $60 and will be available from CocoChocolatier.com from April 6, 2020.
