There's a new place to perch in Sydney.
Another two venues have been announced for Crown Sydney, bringing the grand total of restaurants and bars up to ten. So far, the line-up includes internationally-renowned names such as Nobu and On Core by Clare Smyth, as well as local heroes like a’Mare by Alessandro Pavoni and Woodcut by Ross and Sunny Lusted, with four more venues still yet to be announced.
Teahouse
Inspired by the traditional Chinese teahouse, this Asian-inspired lounge bar will be home to a number of ornate birdcages, decked out in plush velvet lounges with luxe gold finishes. Flit between cocktails or Champagnes, or try one of the specialty teas on offer. The drinks list will be accompanied by a curated menu of Japanese and Cantonese-inspired snacks.
Executive general manager of Crown Sydney Mark Holmes said: “Our vision for Teahouse is to create a unique and sensory experience – think traditional Chinese teahouse meets luxe lounge bar, meets Alice in Wonderland – creating something completely unique that guests will want to return to time and time again.”

Noodle 88
Channeling the great noodle houses in Shanghai, Noodle 88 will specialise in fast, fresh, and filling fare, reflective of the native flavours of China and South East Asia.
The glamourous hawker hall will feature an open kitchen, where noodles will be tossed in hot woks, showcasing the theatrics of the Asian marketplace. Expect seasonally driven dishes, with offerings from across Shanghai, Singapore, Thailand, Japan and Indonesia, including laksa, pho, soto and a range of barbecued meats and dumplings.
“Noodle 88 will be a lively, authentic spot for guests to enjoy fast, delicious food that doesn’t compromise on quality or flavour. Our chefs will be creating age old Chinese and Asian favourites but will hero the best produce from New South Wales and across Australia, ensuring a fresh and inspired take on traditional Asian food,” Mark Holmes said.
The new state-of-the-art development will include 349 hotel rooms and suites, luxury residential apartments, 14 signature restaurants and bars, premium retail outlets, pool and spa facilities and more.
Crown Sydney is slated to open in Barangaroo in December 2020.
