Forget jam and cream, these lamingtons are coated in caramelised coconut and filled with Davidson plum.
Tokyo Lamington has teamed up with homegrown chocolatier Koko Black to launch three limited-edition lambos in Sydney and Melbourne next week.
If you haven’t heard of Tokyo Lamington before that’s because the new lamington chain, founded by N2 Extreme Gelato owners Min Chai and Eddie Stewart, currently only operates in Tokyo and Singapore. Who knew the rest of the world cared about lamingtons? (And so they should).
The jazzy new lambos are available in three bespoke flavours, caramelised coconut, Davidson plum, and triple choc, and word has it, they’re quite a bit better than your gran’s.
The lamingtons are available to purchase as a pack of three on Wednesday, July 7 from select Koko Black stores across Sydney and Melbourne. For more details or to put in an order, head to kokoblack.com
