You'll be counting down the minutes to twilight this May.

Venture through an unassuming doorway into the grand 1920s building on the corner of Flinders and Hosier Lanes, just next door to Andrew McConnell’s acclaimed Gimlet at Cavendish House, to discover one of Melbourne’s favourite small bars. McConnell’s Apollo Inn brings a little European-style finesse to its corner of the city, with an old-world cocktail menu and small but mighty snacks list.

There’s no better place to prop an elbow on a winter’s evening, and this May for American Express delicious. Month Out it gets even better with the return of The Apollo Inn Twilight Hour.

Three limited-edition Twilight Hour cocktails will be on offer every evening throughout the month, each paired to a perfect bite-size morsel:

The Bordelet Julep, featuring the French pear cider Eric Bordelet Poiré Authentique, chamomile, ginger wine and mint.

West End, with Americano Bianco, Cynar and peach Apéritif, topped off with Champagne.

And the Boothby Manhattan, blending Bulliet Rye Whiskey, Cocchi Torino and Rosa, Picon apéritif and Champagne

The Apollo Inn twilight menu will be available between 5-7pm daily,  for the perfect after work sip and bite.
