And did we mention, they also do Blackmore wagyu cheeseburger spring rolls?

Vic’s Meat, the premium supplier behind 75 per cent of the country’s top 100 restaurants, is giving the public rare access to its impressive range of award-winning meats. That means, regular folk like you and I can now sink our teeth into steaks usually destined for the plates of Bennelong, Firedoor, Quay, Aria, Sixpenny, Vue de monde, and more.

“We’re talking about the best of the best, the Louis Vuitton and Gucci of meat,” says Vic’s Meat co-owner, Anthony Puharich.

The new online marketplace, Vic’s Meat Direct, will stock the biggest names in beef, from David Blackmore to Rangers Valley and O’Connor.

You’ll also be able to get your sanitised hands on Sydney’s most famous steak, Firedoor’s 200-day dry-aged Rangers Valley Cote de Boeuf. The first-class cut sits on the Firedoor menu for around $200, however, you’ll find it for less than half that on Vic’s Meat Direct.

It’s just one of the many great deals that you’ll find in their new online marketplace. “Just because we supply to elite restaurants, it doesn’t mean it’s going to burn a hole in your pocket. Because we are wholesalers you’ll be getting meat that is better quality at the same price or cheaper than what you can get at your local butcher,” Puharich says.

And you don’t have to be Neil Perry to render great results. “Well that’s the thing with good quality meat, it’s actually harder to stuff it up. The poorer the quality of the meat, the smaller the margin for error.”

Beyond the menu highlights, Vic’s Meat Direct also sells cuts for your everyday cooking, from whole chooks to cutlets, chops, bacon, sausages and mince, as well as cheeseburger spring rolls. The boutique butcher is now rolling out their take on the famed Ms G’s classic using David Blackmore’s full blood wagyu with onion, pickles, cheese, tomato and mustard in a crispy pastry shell.
