It's just another sign that supermarkets are returning to normal.
If poring over the pages of the weekly Woolies catalogue is one of your favourite activities, get out the Sharpie – the catalogue is back.
Woolworths stopped printing its catalogue on March 25, due to limited stock and specials, as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
Shoppers can expect special prices on a number of their favourite grocery items, with Australian seedless watermelon just $1 a kilo and half-price discounts on Mars chocolates, Smith chips, and Pantene Prov-V shampoo and conditioner.
Woolworths Director of Buying Peter McNamara said: “We understand the uncertainty facing households right now and continue to focus on offering quality food and groceries to our customers at competitive prices, especially on everyday essentials.”
“At the height of the demand surge in March, we temporarily suspended our printed catalogue and reduced our specials to help improve stock levels for customers.
“This allowed us to focus on getting essential products back onto our shelves without adding even more pressure on a supply chain already at capacity.
“As our stock position has steadily improved, we’ve been working with our suppliers to reinstate many of the specials our customers know and love and our printed catalogue will be back from next week.
“Our catalogue has continued in digital form and we have more than 150 specials featured this week and thousands more items with yellow tickets in-store.”
