It turns out mini golf is the perfect drinking game, if the soaring success of the Holey Moley chain is anything to go by. The Holey Moley Golf Club first landed in Sydney last year in Newtown, a space to drink, eat and play putt putt all day and all night if you so desired. Now Kings Cross is set to welcome the company, with a new two storey venue underway in Kings Cross nestled under the iconic Coca-Cola sign. This will be a flagship for the company, a giant space inspired in design by the roaring 20s that is set to boast 27 holes, three bars and a brand-new menu and cocktail list. Drinks and dishes will remain in theme, with stand-out cocktails including The Sugar Caddy and Teeyoncé Holes. Loaded fries and burgers make up the majority of fare to accompany. “For this new location, the aim was to go above and beyond, giving swing-savvy golfers a chance to work on their game and fun-seekers a place to hang their hats and let their hair down for a night,” says Funlab CEO Michael Schreiber of his latest venue. “The thought process behind the 1920s theme was to embrace the night owl, free-spirited abandon of the era and give our customers an immersive, luxurious location. In other words, to let loose and just have fun!” Holey Moley in Kings Cross will open May 10. Holey Moley 82-94 Darlinghurst Road, Potts Point holeymoley.com.au
