A Redfern restaurant and franchisees are the next step in the burgeoning chain.
As reported earlier, Huxtaburger is expanding. But despite rumours that Brisbane was next in line to experience the chain, it’s Sydney that will receive the first of the brand’s burger venues outside of its Melbourne base.
Redfern is the lucky first suburb set to experience Huxtaburger, with a store opening in a new development 66 Regent Street at the end of July. “We’re pumped to officially announce Huxtaburger’s expansion plans and confirm that we’ll be opening our doors in Sydney’s Redfern. Redfern has such an eclectic dining scene and hidden gems all around the neighbourhood, so we’re excited to join the area and serve up Melbourne’s well-loved Huxtaburgers to a brand-new burger-loving crowd,” says CEO Matt Fickling.
This will be the first but not the last addition to the Huxaburger empire, with the chain confirming that they hope to be present across Sydney, Brisbane and Perth within the next year.
The Melbourne contingent of the group has also grown recently, with Huxtaburger welcoming two new franchisees in the Melbourne CBD and in Footscray. “We’re excited to now have two franchisees on-board and part of the Huxta-fam. The introduction of franchisees marks just the beginning of our expansion plans as we look to grow our national footprint in Australia, and grow our business.” comments Fickling.
