Figs, glorious figs. We would drive to Berry purely for the figs alone. The couple who run this place have made a name for themselves in the world of preserves and jam. Though we do have to say, the sausage rolls here with tomato relish are what the best sausage roll dreams are made of. Another local place to fill a hamper with home made goodies. Start with a few wines in the converted rustic-chic Silo wine bar, then make your way to dinner where local produce is on show. Silo restaurant and winery is a beautiful spot to eat with views over the vineyard. It’s particularly memorable in the warmer months when you can dine Alfresco and really take it all in.
