Famed food and wine festival Tasting Australia will return to Adelaide this March with a fresh new line-up. From long lunches to wine dinners, here’s a taste of what’s on offer.

Is a trip to the Adelaide Central Market on your itinerary? Join St Hugo executive chef Mark McNamara as he takes you on a tour of the produce markets with a glass of St Hugo wine in hand. Sample artisan ingredients from local providores and grocers, before sitting down to a St Hugo dish at Community Kitchen. Always wanted to meet Marco Pierre White? Here’s your chance. The enfant terrible of the UK dining scene will be trading the knives for a microphone at this Q&A event. He’ll share colourful stories from kitchens past and answer all your curly questions, that is, if you dare to ask. Guests will also receive a copy of Marco Pierre White’s book, White Heat. Life doesn’t get much better than an afternoon of South Australian seafood and sparkling wine enjoyed from a rooftop terrace. Over 30 of the nation’s best beverage producers, including Starward Whisky, KI Spirits, Adelaide Hills Distillery and Seppeltsfield, are putting on a big boozy bash. Sydney and Melbourne staple Belles Hot Chicken will be flying down for one night only, keeping the revelers well-fed with its famous Nashville-style fried wings and spicy chicken sliders. Roll up your sleeves and get among the grapes at this vineyard tour, which takes you behind-the-scenes to witness the harvest preparations. After your tour, enjoy the winery’s top drops over a two-course lunch in the city. For the ultimate jet-setters experience, Tasting Australia is offering two luxe charter flights from Melbourne and Brisbane to Adelaide. Melburnians will be treated to a Champagne breakfast at cruising altitude, followed by a drive to Yangarra Estate for wines among the vines followed by a four-course lunch by chefs Darren Robertson and Will Meyrick at the Star of Greece. The Brisbane itinerary will start with Champagne in the sky, followed by a drive to the McLaren Vale for a long lunch at Coriole winery prepared by Marco Pierre White and Duncan Welgemoed with Gather at Coriole chef Tom Tilbury.
