Forget smashed avo – Melbourne gelateria Pidapipó has turned the city’s favourite breakfast item into an ice-cream. “I was using avocado in my breakfast smoothies and I loved the texture, so decided to experiment with it in gelato. As well as a great taste, it gives a great creaminess to the final product,” says Pidapipó owner, Lisa Valmorbida. The limited edition flavour, called avocado and lime sorbetto, will be available to try from their Carlton, CBD or Windsor stores until June 24.
