Urbane star Alejandro Cancino brings a vegan diner to Brisbane

Grass Fed is a celebration of the plant-based en route to Fish Lane.

Brisbane fine dining superstar Alejandro Cancino departed revered restaurant Urbane last year, armed only with a passion for sharing the plant-based life around the state. After setting up shop on the Sunshine Coast with a new vegan product line, Cancino has announced plans for a Brisbane-based eatery.

Planned to make its debut in South Brisbane’s swanky Fish Lane precinct, Grass Fed will be exactly as its name suggests; a foray into vegan fare. The chef has partnered with fellow plant-based fan and Brisbane Vegan Markets founder John Garrison on the new eatery, which is expected to arrive later this month.

While little is known of the menu just yet, it has been promised that within its walls you’ll be able to tuck into Cancino’s Fënn Foods brands, including his recently created alternative protein product vEEF. Served as a range of six different burgers, the vEEF patty blends will be exclusive to the Brisbane eatery. They’ll be accompanied by a range of sides and desserts, all vegan too of course.

More news on Grass Fed’s launch will be announced in due course.
