Aman Venice has really stepped its dining game up a notch.
Perhaps you’re a fan of history, or simply have a penchant for the over-the-top, but regardless we’ve found the restaurant for you. Aman Venice, the luxury hotel in the heart of the water-borne Italian city, has just introduced a seriously decadent new eatery in the form of the Palazzo Kitchen Table.
As its name suggests, the dining venue sits within a 16th Century palazzo, neighbouring a private garden and just a hop, skip, and a jump away (or a lawn to be exact) from the canal system for which Venice is famed. The space boasts just a single table for ten diners to enjoy its fare, accompanied by a private chef, and decorated by murals by painter Matteo Bertelli. But perhaps most importantly it comes equipped with its own private cellar, overflowing with bottles of rare vintages from Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne in France, and a 1995 merlot from Tuscany

Guests will be catered to by executive chef Dario ossola and executive sous chef Dario Boschetti who consult with local farmers, fishermen and market traders for each gathering’s produce. This is then cooked in the kitchen’s state-of-the-art Marrone + Mesubim integrated kitchen, and on the only Teppan (a Japanese grill for Teppanyaki-style cooking) found in Venice.
Aside from private events, Palazzo Kitchen Table will host a calendar of themed dinners and culinary events hosted throughout the year. Some of the world’s best chefs have already promised to make an appearance in its first series of events titled ‘Cook the Lagoon’ which will see chefs interpret local ingredients harvested from the Venetian lagoon and its islands. Chefs already involved in the series include Teppan chef Koji Aida of Paris’s only Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant, Aida, and the renowned Davide Oldani of D’O near Milan.
