Peppermint candy canes have long been overdue for a culinary update but nobody expected this.

The savoury canes were created by Seattle-based confectioner Archie McFee and are described on the website as “tasting like your childhood favourite – mac and cheese!”

The website goes on to say: “Macaroni and cheese has become a holiday family tradition in many parts of the country, so why not let our holiday candy reflect that?” (Don’t answer that).

If it’s the cane itself that you have a problem with, Archie McFee also sells mac and cheese boiled sweets, however, something tells us that’s not your main issue.
