It can be difficult for restaurants to navigate these tricky times, but thanks to some ingenuity in the face of hungry customers, our favourite kitchens are successfully adapting. Bathers’ Pavilion is one establishment that’s nailing the takeaway scene with their ‘At Home’ offering.

For the mid-week bon vivant
Who says mid-week can’t be decadent and scrumptious? Don’t lift a finger, treat yourself, and get a three-course (or make it four with cocktails) meal delivered to your door. Start your journey with a double-baked cheese souffle and continue on with duck confit paired with beetroot, walnut, and pickled quince. Add in some French fries because, well, they’re French. Finish your odyssey with dark chocolate gateau and a dirty martini.
For the Italian late lunch-er
Does sitting at home with a few loved ones and a decadent late lunch, Montepulciano in hand, sound like the ultimate Sunday? We hear you. To start, enjoy pillowy pumpkin, goat’s cheese, sage and burnt butter gnocchi, followed by crispy tomato, beef and parmesan lasagne, and topped off with a slice of creamy lemon and white chocolate curd cake. Not ready for the long lunch to end? Finish with a Bather’s negroni.
For the pantry staple stock-er
Turns out Bathers’ can be your pantry port-of-call. While ordering dinner, stock up on their home blend coffee (those whole beans are like nothing else), some peppery Pukara estate extra virgin olive oil, and tasty house-made granola. After all, they always say that those who fail to plan, plan to fail, so get on the front-foot with your pantry – your future self will be glowing.
For the pizza and wine lounger
If you’re feeling like a bit of pizza – we’re talking Julia Roberts in Eat, Pray, Love pizza here – and want to roll your sleeves up and really commit to your carb load, Bathers’ have you covered with super inexpensive pizza dough. At just $4, Bathers’ takes care of the difficult kneading part, so you can concentrate on your toppings instead. Maybe some San Daniele with burrata? Chilli-flecked prawns with rocket? Nduja with provolone? The pizza is your oyster.
And what would your cheesy slice be without some wine to accompany? There’s a wide array to choose from – whether you want a crispy dry white, or a full-bodied, packs-a-punch red. There’s a grape for everyone.
