A celebration of Australian cheese is on its way

Mould

A dairy festival so popular it's returning bigger and better than before.

We just can’t get enough of mould it seems – both literally and figuratively as the return of the Mould Festival goes to show. The artisan cheese event made its debut in Melbourne but is now back for a second year, expanding to a second event in Sydney thanks to its success.

The event comes courtesy of a collaboration between REVEL and Nick Haddow of Bruny Island Cheese. It’s a cheese festival with a focus on Australian producers, with the best of the best taking part. That’s 80 cheeses, and 20 producers to be exact that include Tolpuddle, Bruny Island, Yarra Valley Dairy, and Grandvewe. Not only will there be tastings, but cooking demonstrations, conversations and masterclasses to be had.

Of course, what’s a cheese board without a little wine. Luckily Mould understands the importance of tipple, making a well-stocked bar offering for punters.

The festival will be held at Sydney’s Carriageworks on September 1, and in Melbourne’s Meat Market on May 4 and 5. Both night and day sessions will be available but spaces will be limited so we recommend you grab your tickets quick smart.
