The chef's Singapore venture won't make a year in trade.
Despite being only open since October of last year, Clayton Wells’ Singapore venture Blackwattle is already set to close.
It was the first Asian eatery for the budding restaurateur who may be turning his attention instead to his more local venues; the recently welcomed A1 Canteen, as well as his revered eatery Automata.
Blackwattle was opened in conjunction with hotel group The Unlisted Collection and was penned as a 50-seat eatery with strong Australian influences. Wells himself as well as business partner Loh Lek Peng are yet to comment on the closure. More details to follow shortly.
