Drop by for a few pints, sans the pants.
Dressing up for a night at the pub is set to become a thing of the past for Soho locals, with London pub, the Coach & Horses, granted the city’s first nudist license.
Since obtaining the rare license, the pub has already held its first nudist sing-along night, which featured songs like, “I’ve Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts”, “Great Balls of Fire” and “Bare Necessities”, with the event proving a big hit with the clothesless crowd.
As freeing as it might feel, punters won’t be able to strip down any time they want. All nudity will need to be prearranged and consensual, with patrons given plenty of warning as to when a naked drinking session will occur.
The nudist license came about after the pub’s regulars and staff members decided to use the venue as a backdrop for a nude charity calendar, with proceeds donated to St Mungo’s homelessness charity.
It isn’t the first time that the Coach & Horses has made headlines. Back in 2012, the 170-year-old venue became the first London pub to go completely vegetarian.
