After departing Paddington, the MKR judge has his eyes set on Sydney's south-west.

Never one to make a scene, delicious. contributor Colin Fassnidge has snapped up another suburban pub, this time in Liverpool. With head chef Leigh McDivitt and business partner Clayton Ries by his side, the trio have taken over Liverpool’s Macquarie Hotel, and while there are no visible signs alerting locals to the new owners, punters can already get a taste of what’s to come thanks to a new menu.

With the new takeover going almost under the radar, the Monarch Group (which recently took Banksia Bistro to new heights) are just another sign of Western Sydney’s new food transformation. Those in the east though shouldn’t despair, Fassnidge is allegedly looking for another venue after departing Paddington’s Four in Hand pub.
