Jatz is typically at home on a cheeseplate, but the Australian-made cracker is now about to make itself comfortable in the dessert aisle with the launch of the brand’s latest invention. Joining partners with fellow Aussie brand Peters DRUMSTICK, the biscuit company has just launched the DRUMSTICK Sweet & Salty Cracker inspired by Jatz.

Landing in January, the limited-edition sweet treat is a sweet and salty combination that sees cracker pieces woven throughout the ice cream, topped with golden syrup and presented in a classic waffle cone.

There’s little doubt that the partnership will be a successful one considering it is following in the footsteps of a number of fellow Peters and Arnott’s joint releases. These have included ice cream versions of Australian favourites Wagon Wheels, Mint Slice, Iced VoVo and Caramel Crowns.

“We’re excited to be able to bring together two much-loved Aussie brands by launching a unique yet nostalgic flavour. The collaboration delivers a surprise and delight element with an unexpected flavour mash-up,” says Peters head of marketing Alicia Munday. “The new flavour also taps into the sweet and salty trend that is hugely popular among Millennials.”

The DRUMSTICK Sweet & Salty Cracker inspired by Jatz will land on Australian shores in the form of a four-pack, just in time for Australia Day.
