Gather your friends and lovers, this month Yarra Vallery winery Domaine Chandon will host a series of French-style pique-niques on their manicured lawns.

Visitors will be able to act out scenes from a Claude Monet painting as they lounge on soft cushions with a hunk of cheese in one hand and a sparkling rosé in the other.

The picnics will be held across 10 pop-up spaces, shaded by trees and surrounded by rolling hills and butterfly-filled vineyards. Each spot will be styled with various cushions, linens and fringed umbrellas for your day-napping pleasure.

No need to worry about packing sandwiches, napkins, cutlery etc. Chandon will supply the picnic baskets, which will be filled with all the essentials – charcuterie, cheese, baguettes, macarons and strawberries – as well as a glass of sparkling wine each. If you get bored of eating cheese and staring at the clouds (unlikely) there will also be lawn games available.
