This isn't just another Aussie transplant in Seminyak though.
Australians in Bali are hardly a rare occurrence. But the beauty of having locals flood the island is that with them so to have a bevvy of beloved Aussie eating institutions. The latest to perch itself upon Bali’s shores is Sydney’s Double Bay favourite, Mrs Sippy.

The bar and restaurant will be upgrading its facilities for the Bali-based crowd, opening its doors to an elaborate pool club. There is enough room (and sunbeds) for sunning, swimming, feasting and dancing from morning through night and the outdoor playground will incorporate an 800m saltwater pool (including a 5m dive platform) surrounded by Mediterranean-style architecture, accented by daybeds, cabanas, gardens and palm trees.

Taking care of the cuisine at the Bali outpost will be Guillaume Ziki, who recently departed from the Sydney favourite Cottage Point Inn. The chef who will also be acting as consultant will be designing menus for a potential (and impressive) 500-600 diners. No expense has been spared in the construction of the new Seminyak space with co-owner Ben May joking is makes Aussie pool clubs “feel like above ground pools in the ‘burbs” in comparison.
